El pasado 24 de octubre del 2024, El Club de Historia, llevó a cabo un conversatorio en la biblioteca de nuestro plantel. Con el señor Mgtr. Pantaleón García, el cual nos habló de su libro titulado “La doctrina Monroe y el destino manifiesto.
El libro «La Doctrina Monroe, el destino manifiesto, el ferrocarril de Panamá y las rivalidades anglosajonas por el control de la América Central» del Magíster Pantaleón García ofrece un análisis profundo sobre la política expansionista de las potencias anglosajonas, especialmente de Estados Unidos, desde sus inicios como nación hasta su impacto en las nacientes repúblicas centroamericanas del siglo XIX.
García examina cómo la Doctrina Monroe y el Destino Manifiesto sirvieron como fundamentos ideológicos para la expansión territorial y la influencia estadounidense en América Latina. Además, aborda la construcción del Ferrocarril de Panamá y las rivalidades entre potencias anglosajonas por el control estratégico de Centroamérica.
